Ashland Addison Florist Company in Chicago announces their Holiday Open House dates and Biggest Sale of the Season to be December 9-11, 2011 at four retail flower shop locations. The Open House helps kick off the upcoming holiday celebration and the stores will showcase beautiful decor ideas, gifts, professionally trimmed wreaths and hand-picked, locally-grown poinsettias. The sale consists of 20% off all poinsettia plants and select holiday merchandise - carry-out purchases only. Plus, an important food drive for local food pantries.

"Our Holiday Open House is a must this year," says Bill Sheffield, president and co-owner of Ashland Addison Florist Company. "This holiday season we are celebrating eight decades in business. My Grandfather, who started our family's flower business in 1932, would be very proud of where we're at in 2011. I know we'll see many new customers and familiar faces at our retail stores at this fun event."

In addition to the Biggest Sale, the company invites customers to bring in non-perishable food items for local food pantries in Lakeview, Elk Grove Village and Westchester. Each person who brings in a donation to help feed the area's hungry will receive a valuable coupon for their next visit at Ashland Addison Florist Company.

"Our food drive last year was a huge success," says Sheffield. "This year, I look forward to making an even larger donation to our local pantries on behalf of our generous and caring customers."

Finally, the fourth-generation business has something else to be thankful for this year. The Lakeview location has moved to a permanent spot at 3118 North Lincoln Avenue, right next door to Bakin' & Eggs. The gorgeous flower shop is open seven days a week with fresh flowers, green and blooming plants, gift items and features free balloons for kids on Saturday and Sunday.
